The provider was not present at the time of the visit. Two teachers were present with 13 children: Jeyanthi Marimuthu and Poornima Katlamydi. Jeyanthi meets the ECE requirements, but Poornima does not. Dispute Description: I am disputing the report. It is my understanding that, in my absence, the designated lead teacher must hold an ECE Short Certificate or an equivalent credential. This requirement was acknowledged as satisfactory in the report with Ms. Jeyanthi’s presence. It is also my understanding that the second teacher, in my absence, has up to five years to obtain her ECE Initial Certification. Ms. Poornima has completed 30 hours of CCB training, completed EQEL Year 1, and is currently working toward completing EQEL Year 2. She has also applied for the Early Achievers Grant to obtain ECE Initial Certificate college credits. Her earlier attempt to get Financial aid was denied. I can forward the denial email if required. In addition, she is pursuing the PACE pathway. Please note that PACE classes offered by the state have a long waitlist, and Ms. Poornima is currently on the waiting list (position #82). On the day of the visit, another teacher, Ms. Rajani, became ill and had to leave just before the licensor’s arrival. I can provide her check in & out timesheet. Ms. Rajani is actively working toward her ECE Initial Certification, has completed CCB training and EQEL Year 1 and is pursuing the PACE pathway. We are sincerely committed to ensuring all staff members obtain their required ECE certifications and are actively supporting them in this process. In light of the information above, we respectfully request that the SERIOUS risk remark be removed from our records. I am disputing the report.
