On 08.13.2024, this licensor observed the trampoline in the licensed outdoor space unlocked and accessible to children.

On 08.13.2024, this licensor observed seven children in care under the supervision of assistant Rachel Wilson. Wilson reported that the provider's three other daughters were also home. Two of these daughters are younger than 13. Therefore, nine children were present counting toward capacity. The provider is licensed for six children.

Children's health record and the information in subsection (2) (a) through (e) was not available to staff for medical adminstration or emergencies.

The sliding glass door exit to the outdoor deck and path to outdoor play space was locked and latched at the top and did not automatically unlock or open when handle was pulled. The secondary fire exit pathway, and exit door ,is the main entry to the family home. This is a split level. At the top of the stairs to the licensed upstairs area, the provider has placed a very sturdy baby gate. At a recent WSP fire safety training, licensors learned that this type of gate, one that cannot be kicked open by an adult, presents as a barrier to fire exit. Although the provider did believe it would open if pushed firmly be an adult it did not open when she attempted to demonstrate this.

This licensor observed the provider's own children access the family refrigerator while the child care children were outside. The provider's children moved the children's lunchboxes around and looked inside one. This child also briefly picked up the lactose free milk.

The provider has not printed a child's medication form in order to store it with his epi-pen. Zyrtec and other "over the counter" medications were observed on the kitchen counter in the kitchen. The pre-school age children in care today could easily reached the medication if they intended to do so.
