O165(2)(a) The licensor observed that push pins/tacks were being used to display postings in the facility. During the visit, one of the push pins/tacks became dislodged when pointed out by the licensor and fell onto the carpeted area, highlighting a potential safety hazard. The use of sharp or unsecured fastening materials in areas accessible to children presents a risk of injury, including puncture wounds or choking hazards if the items are picked up. The licensor recommended replacing them with safer alternatives, such as tape or other non-sharp fastening methods, to secure postings and minimize potential safety risks within the environment.
